“Every technological development is relevant to the field of art and culture. Art and culture should take up, show and use developments.”

Markus appreciates experimenting and working freely with new technologies and has implemented numerous AR projects for art and cultural institutions in recent years, such as the Holomuse for the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna, the Kosmos Kaffee  for the Deutsches Museum and the Virtual Ranger for the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park. Currently Markus is working on the research project GLARA (Green Living Augmented Reality): In this project he is developing a fully-fledged AR / VR platform for participatory Green City projects. Data sets from environmental simulations are visualised interactively in a new way using XR technologies via smartphones and tablets. At the upcoming cultural hackathon, Markus will primarily contribute his expertise in creative coding, XR technology and user experience.

Markus Passecker is a full-stack developer and AR specialist at Fluxguide. He completed his Master’s degree in Digital Media Technologies (Masterclass – Experimental Media) at the FH St. Pölten
